What is SCRYPTIC

A hackathon that rewards what we live by:
code you can trust.

SCRYPTIC is Digiscrypt's flagship hackathon — and Season I is just the beginning. Most hackathons ask "does the demo work?" We go further: we reward teams that build things that are secure, well-engineered, and real. Whether you're into AppSec, AI, open source, or building products from scratch, there's a track for you.

Win more than cash

A ₹39,999 prize pool — plus the chance to work with Digiscrypt and land an internship with our engineering team.

Build for the real world

Problem statements drawn from real engineering and security challenges — not toy prompts.

Learn from practitioners

Mentor check-ins during the build sprint and a judging panel that actually reviews your code.

Choose your battlefield

Five tracks. One standard: trust.

Security runs through every track — but there's room for everyone, from first-time hackers to seasoned builders. Pick one track per team.

/01

AppSec & Secure Dev

Build tools that find, explain, or fix vulnerabilities — or apps engineered to be secure by design.

/02

AI × Security

Use AI to make software safer — or make AI systems themselves more trustworthy.

/03

Open Source for Good

Build or harden an open-source utility the developer community can actually use.

/04

FinTech / HealthTech — Trust First

Solve a real problem in finance or health where privacy and security are part of the score.

/05

Open Innovation

An idea that doesn't fit a box? Build anything — bonus points if you make it trustworthy.

Good questions

Frequently asked.

Who can participate?

Anyone in India who loves to build — students, freshers, and working professionals. It's a national, fully online hackathon, so you can join from anywhere.

How big can a team be?

One to four members. You can enter solo, or add up to three teammates when you register. Larger ideas, smaller egos — your call.

What does the ₹149 fee cover?

It's a per-member entry fee that covers your dashboard access, participation across all tracks, mentorship, certificate, and your shot at the prize pool, internships, and working with Digiscrypt. A four-person team pays ₹596 total.

Do I need to be a security expert?

No. Security runs through the event, but tracks like Open Innovation and AI welcome all skill levels. You'll be judged partly on how trustworthy your build is — and we'll help you get there.

How does judging work?

Round 1 is an idea/deck screening. Finalists build live in the Grand Finale and are scored on innovation, technical depth, security & code quality, impact, and presentation.

What do I get if I win?

A share of the ₹39,999 prize pool, the opportunity to work with Digiscrypt, internship fast-tracks for top performers, and certificates for everyone who completes the hackathon.

When and where does it happen?

Entirely online. Registration runs 20 June – 30 July 2026, with the Grand Finale 36-hour build sprint on 21 August 2026 and results announced around 7 September 2026.
